Dynamics at its best

Right up to the limit
The drive goes right up to the limit. Races straight off from neutral. Lets off a superbike firework all the way up to its maximum 12,000 rpm. Remains controllable thanks to three lean angle-dependent riding modes. The short secondary gear ratio makes the R a sprinter that doesn’t want to be overtaken. The M Quick action throttle allows for precise control, without the need to change your grip position. The optional Pro Riding Modes also give you full control over all control systems.
Dress code: Rigorous
We don’t do things by halves – maybe only with the aggressive Splitface design. The S 1000 R delivers on what its appearance promises.

A letter that represents racing, power, and enthusiasm better than any other. The R comes with the M Quick action throttle as standard. You can also add individual M optional accessory, such as the M forged wheels or M Lightweight battery to enhance the performance according to your preferences.
R
Minimalist front, unmistakeable with its Splitface design and the R between its “eyes”. Aggressive, compact rear, perfect for performance enthusiasts. Pure dynamics in typical roadster proportions. A large R can also be seen on the side trim panel, automatically drawing a maximum of respect.

The extreme sportiness doesn’t mean it’s unsuitable for touring. On the contrary: equipment options like the luggage rack or the navigation preparation invite you to go on adrenaline-packed trips.
