It’s time to visit another one of the latest custom BMW bikes. This time, we take a look at The Revival Birdcage created by the professionals at Revival Cycles based out of Austin, TX. This isn’t your average bike, by any means. It’s the second custom build constructed on the BMW concept boxer engine. While we love BMW motorcycles in San Francisco, this creation has a special place in our hearts.
The BMW Motorrad Big Boxer prototype is the basis of this bike. The engine is also featured in the upcoming 2020 Cruiser production segment. While we don’t have that yet, we can spend a little time in awe at the work done by Revival Cycles.
This bike contains a titanium frame as a perfect accent. Examine it from any angle and you’ll see the drivetrain. It also comes with specially crafted footrests, handlebars, seat, shift lever and suspension parts.
Innovation to this level can’t be rushed. It took the team a total of six months from the time they started planning until it was completed. The bike was ready just in time for the Handbuilt Show. Also, take notice of the chrome-plated protection points and the perfectly implemented exterior geometry. It evokes memories of the 1960s boxer engine, except this version is larger and features air-oil cooling.
While you can’t get on the back of this custom bike, there is quite a BMW inventory in San Francisco waiting for you today.
