BMW K1600GT & K1600GTL
BMW is just starting to release the first bits of information related to their 2011 motorcycle lineup, including what promises to be an amazing new 6 cylinder touring platform unlike anything the world has ever seen. These two drawings are some of the early concept
pieces BMW created while developing the K1600GT and K1600GTL which are expected to be launched in 2011. Given BMW's years of experience building some of the most reliable and powerful inline 6-cylinder automotive powerplants in the world, expectations are
high for this new motor and extension of the BMW K-bike family. BMW has created a special website for the new 6 cylinder K-bikes
which you
can check out by visiting this webpage: http://www.tourer-2010-en.com/index/the.future.of.touring .
Although we are yet to see actual pictures of these bikes we do know that they're going to offer customers the most advanced headlight assembly the motorcycling world has ever seen. This adaptive headlight represents another major step forward for motorcycling safety and we hope to see similar systems on all motorcycles in the future. Looks like, once again, the rest of the motorcycling world is going to have to play catch-up with BMW's safety department!
