2011 BMW Motorcycle Lineup Information Page

BMW is just starting to release the first bits of information related to their 2011 motorcycle lineup, including what promises to be an amazing new 6 cylinder touring platform unlike anything the world has ever seen. Because the European motorcycle show season has started we now have new pictures and videos that you can check out at our K1600 info page. Of course, these two drawings were the early concept pieces BMW created while developing the K1600GT and K1600GTL which are scheduled to be delivered to dealers in spring of 2011. Given BMW’s years of experience building some of the most reliable and powerful inline 6-cylinder automotive powerplants in the world, expectations are high for this new motor and extension of the BMW K-bike family. BMW has created a special website for the new 6 cylinder K-bikes which you can check out by visiting this webpage: http://www.tourer-2010-en.com/index/the.future.of.touring

For now, we do know that these K1600’s are going to offer (amongst other things) the most advanced headlight assembly the motorcycling world has ever seen. This adaptive headlight represents another major step forward for motorcycling safety and we hope to see similar systems on all motorcycles in the future. Looks like, once again, the rest of the motorcycling world is going to have to play catch-up with BMW’s safety department!

2011 BMW F800R

BMW has announced that it will bring the F800R to the United States for the first time in January of 2011. We have been waiting for this announcement for quite some time but we now have a lot of information to share including colors, options and pricing. There’s so much information available for the 2011 F 800 R that we built a new little web page to explain all that we know thus far. 2011 BMW G650GS

BMW has recently announced that they will have a new G650GS available in 2011. Details are few and far between at this point but we did get a batch of nice images to dig into for the time being. All images and informational updates will be posted to our 2011 G650GS info page which you can check out by clicking here.

2011 BMW R1200R

For 2011 BMW has equipped their popular R1200R roadster with the super-smooth twin-cam (DOHC) engine that first appeared on the R1200GS and R1200RT in 2010. This engine was based off of the powerplant of the exotic HP2 Sport and is without a doubt the most refined boxer engine the street has seen. In addition to the big engine upgrade, the 2011 R1200R gets a number of aesthetic tweaks adding to the motorcycle’s appeal for retro and modern bikes fans alike. Check out our special R1200R info page for more info by clicking here.

2011 “Triple Black” BMW R1200GS

Many R1200GS riders have tried to give their bikes a ‘stealth’ or ‘Vader’ appearance over the years, but for 2011 BMW has done all the work for you! The “Triple Black” R1200GS features a black engine, black spoke wheels, black embroidered seat and a special asphalt grey swingarm, subframe and valve covers. The “Triple Black” 12GS simply looks tougher and meaner than any GS to date. For more information check out our “Triple Black” info page here.
